TACTIBRAIN: Neuroplasticity and Decisional Anticipation in Elite Team Sports

In the high-stakes environment of elite team sports, the temporal window for decision-making is often measured in milliseconds. Traditional training models focus heavily on physical conditioning and technical execution; however, the limiting factor in elite performance is frequently the "tactical bottleneck"—the cognitive delay between stimulus perception and motor response. This study introduces the TACTIBRAIN protocol, a multimodal clinical neurotechnology intervention designed to optimize tactical anticipation and decisional adaptability in elite athletes (football, handball, and basketball). Through a randomized controlled trial (n=40), we demonstrate that an integrated approach involving EEG neurofeedback, transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (tVNS), heart-brain coherence, photobiomodulation (PBM), and binaural therapy significantly reduces reaction time (-82ms) and increases decisional accuracy (+18%). These findings suggest that neuroplasticity-based tactical training represents a new frontier in sports strategy, enabling athletes to transition from reactive players to predictive strategists.
