Adolescence is a transitional period between childhood and adulthood during which rapid physical, mental, emotional, and social development occurs. Adolescent girls are most at risk of under nutrition, which affects their overall development. With this background, this study was conducted to study some aspects of the socio-demographic profile and to assess the nutritional status of adolescent girls by anthropometry in a rural area of a district. Being healthy is one of the most crucial aspects of a human life. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated "Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity,". Additionally, it is noted that every person has the fundamental right to the best possible level of health, regardless of their race, religion, political beliefs, economic status, or social standing. It is crucial to take into account the health of the teenage girls in rural areas . Consequently, the research study focus is on the young girls, or teenagers, in the aforementioned village. It is also well known that achieving peace and security depends on both individuals and states working together as fully as possible to ensure everyone's health. The research study also analyse the detrimental effects of consuming junk food and the significance of eating a balanced diet with high nutritional values.
