ABSTRACT Introduction: Iron deficiency anaemia (IDA), affecting 25-30% globally, impairs oxygen delivery, causing fatigue, weakness, and reduced productivity, especially in adolescents. Early intervention with proper nutrition and supplementation is crucial. Combining amla juice with elemental iron enhances absorption via vitamin C, providing an affordable, effective solution to manage and prevent IDA. Aim: This study evaluates the effectiveness of amla juice with elemental iron in improving iron deficiency anaemia among adolescent girls in Daman's government schools. Methodology: This study used a true experimental pre-test post-test control group design to evaluate the effectiveness of amla juice with elemental iron among 136 participants with iron deficiency anaemia. Participants were equally divided into experimental and control groups, and haemoglobin levels were analysed over 30 days using dependent t-tests. Result: This study evaluates the effectiveness of amla juice with elemental iron supplementation in increasing haemoglobin levels among individuals with iron deficiency anaemia. Post-test results showed a higher mean haemoglobin level in the experimental group (11.06 ± 0.87) compared to the control group (10.30 ± 0.93). Conclusion: Statistical significance was determined using the dependent t-test and McNemar’s chi-square (χ²) test. Following the administration of amla juice with elemental iron, haemoglobin levels increased among participants with iron deficiency anaemia, demonstrating a significant positive impact of amla juice on haemoglobin improvement.
