Abstract

Abstract Background: Skin carcinogenesis induced by 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA) is closely associated with oxidative stress and disruption of endogenous antioxidant defenses. Pleomeleterniflora (PT), a medicinal plant rich in bioactive phytochemicals, has been traditionally used for its therapeutic properties. However, its chemopreventive efficacy against skin cancer has not been fully elucidated.
