This study explores the formulation and assessment of microspheres designed for the simultaneous controlled release of an NSAID and a PPI to address pain relief while protecting the stomach lining. Using a solvent evaporation approach with a pH-sensitive polymer, the system achieved prolonged drug release, improved entrapment, and minimal burst effects. Optimized parameters yielded particles with desirable size and morphology, demonstrating over 80% cumulative release in simulated gastric conditions over 8 hours. These findings suggest potential for enhanced therapeutic outcomes in chronic inflammatory conditions, with reduced side effects and better adherence.
