The integration of technology in education has introduced innovative ways to support children with special needs, particularly in Open and Distance Learning (ODL). While technology offers flexible and accessible learning, it can also create challenges for these learners. This paper reviews the literature to examine these challenges and explores solutions such as enhancing accessibility, using Universal Design for Learning, integrating assistive technologies, and adapting pedagogical and technical support. It also highlights how technological innovations like assistive devices and online platforms can help meet the unique needs of children with special needs, making education more inclusive.
