This study investigates the relationship between operational efficiency, profitability, and Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) in selected public and private sector banks. The research uses Augmented Dickey-Fuller tests for stationarity and panel data regression analyses to explore the impact of key financial indicators, such as Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Operating Profit Margin (OPM), on Net and Gross NPAs. The findings reveal a significant negative correlation between OPM and NPAs, emphasizing the pivotal role of operational efficiency in mitigating non-performing assets. The study's robust statistical models contribute valuable insights for policymakers and banking stakeholders, guiding strategic decisions to enhance asset quality and overall financial stability in the analyzed banks
