BACKGROUND: Histopathology is regarded as the "gold standard" in the diagnosis of skin diseases. The accuracy of microscopic diagnosis is influenced by the technique and anatomical region used for biopsy, as well as pertinent clinical information and diagnosis. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES : the aim of this study was histological findings in diagnostic dilemma cases for effective management. CASE PRESENTATIONS : prospective study with a case series of 10 in number where patients who were willing to give written informed consent presenting to DVL OPD at private medical college and general hospital conducted between June 2023 to December 2023. CONCLUSION : Histopathology is an important diagnostic tool utilized in the workup of numerous dermatological diagnostic dilemmas. Providing a good history, provisional and differential diagnosis to the dermatopathologist while sending skin biopsy yields a high accuracy in diagnostic dilemma cases.
