: Ficus Liberty et al., 1976, genus Ficus (diploid; Moraceae) is one of the largest genera (with more than 850 distributed throughout the tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world; Fongang et al., 2015) of angiosperms species (monoecious or functionally dioecious) represent unisexual florets within the syconium and habitat of tropical / sub-tropical regions. Ficus species contains woody trees, shrubs, vines, epiphytes and hemiepiphytes. (Corner, 1965; Wagner and Zotz, 2020) Dehgan, 1998, Ficus species include Ficus carica L. (edible fruit); F. benjamina, F.elastica, & F.pumila (ornamental); F.altissima, F.binnendykii, F. deltoidea, F.microcarpa, F.neriifolia, F.sagittata, and F.subulata. Ficus species are indigenous to Egypt, like F.pseudosycomorus, Ficus salicifolia Vahl, F. sycomorus Linn., F. benjamina Linn, and F. glomerata Roxb. Henley and Poole, 1989, several species of Ficus like Ficus binnendykii ‘Alii’ and ‘Amstel King’ (called F. binnendijkii / F. maclellandii). Confused name include F. subulata, F. diversifolia, F. repens, and F. pumila. (Huxley, 1994) Common Name: Sabre Tree, Alii Tree, Amstel King, Fig Tree. Pharmacognostical Description of Ficus longifolia Gotsch et al., 2015, Ficus longifolia (evergreen; ornamental) indoor plant tree with narrow leathery leaf, medium tree, on arching branches, mahogany trunks speckled with white bars. Ficus consists of vast amounts of sap in bark, branching, leaves (linear-lanceolate laminas, narrow laminas, long stipules; 10-25 x 1.5-3.5 cm), flowers are tiny (syconium fig), 3-6 mm across, whitish to pinkish.
