Abstract: The aim of this study was the preparation of microspheres of linoleic acid and Butea monosperma in terms of physicochemical and biopharmaceutical properties. Microsphere was prepared by solvent evaporation method. The optimum conditions for extraction from Butea monosperma leave was as follows: extraction temperature at range of 40 - 500C extraction time of 6 hrs, and particle size at range of 100-200 μm. The results revealed that the proposed method was feasible, and this paper shows the way to exploit Butea monosperma leaf by subcritical ethanolic extraction. Linoleic acid has attracted increased research interest because of its health-promoting benefits and biological functions. The main advantage of applying microspheres as drugs delivery system is the controlled release of the drug content. Microspheres are potential drug delivery carrier systems in the segment of novel drug delivery and are prepared using assorted polymers.
