Abstract: The Indian economy already facing a precarious state is shook by the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The virus which led to the declaration of the prolonged countrywide lockdown has associated with the disruption of the demand and supply chains. This is leading the economy to go through a protracted period of slowdown. Covid-19 has already disrupted the demand and supply chain across many countries and similarly it has affected majorly each and every sector in some way. Out of all the sectors, the micro, small and medium enterprises are suffering from severe impact of the coronavirus. The financial market also facing the repercussions of Covid-19.The pandemic has significantly affected the cash flows at organizations. After an early delay in responding to this virus, the central banks continue to take part in a series of financial markets intervention, while the national governments of different countries take initiatives and offer incentives to boost their economies and to ensure that they stabilize. The scale and severity of the economic impact will depend on how long the health crisis will take and how long the lock will take and how well it will be when the lock is lifted. A very crucial, strategic role is played in economic growth and equitable economic development by the Micro , Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sectors. MSMEs have a significantly strong position in exports which makes them global players and our prime drivers for employment generation and the growth of GDP in the economy. The main purpose of this research is to study deep into MSMEs’ contribution in the economy and the repercussions faced by them due to the nationwide lockdown amid Covid-19. An effort has been put to study the role of the Government in minimising the economic loss of MSMEs. The study also includes the analysis of the stock performance of various enterprises during this situation.
