Oral health has been defined as “the standard of health of the oral and related tissues which enables an individual to eat, speak and socialize without discomfort and embarrassment and which contributes to general wellbeing”. Thus oral hygiene is very important as the individual is crippled of his various activities in case of any defects in his oral health. The status of oral health or hygiene among the people of various age groups in a sub locality or a community tends to be different. The people may come to the dental hospital complaining of various dental problems. Hence this study was conducted to randomly analyse and screen patients of various age groups attending the dental clinic to find out the most common dental problems among people in a particular community.
