Abstract:
Teachers play an important role in the world of education, especially in formal sector in schools, teachers greatly determine the success of students, especially in terms of the teaching and learning process that is usually carried out in schools. Therefore principals through learning leadership are able to motivate and empower teachers to create good work motivation and be able to play as teachers who have a professional attitude besides the teacher himself who is able to improve the quality of his own work. The purpose of this research is to know that: (1) the correlation of instructional leadership principal with teacher’s motivation, (2) the correlation of instructional leadership principal with teacher’s professional attitude, (3) the correlation of teacher’s professional attitude with teacher’s motivation and (4) the correlation of instructional leadership principal and teacher’s professional attitude with with teacher’s motivation. Object of the research are teachers at vocational high schools in Pelaihari City Tanah Laut Regency. Data analysis of relationship relationships between variables using descriptive correlational. The population of this study were teachers of State Vocational Schools in Pelaihari City Tanah Laut Regency totaling 155 people. The sample in this study was 68 people with data collected through questionnaires filled out by the teacher. This instrument was tested for validity with a correlation coefficient technique, while the reliability test used the Alpha cronbach formula. The result of the research that (1) there is the correlation between instructional leadership principal and teacher’s motivation, (2) there is the correlation between instructional leadership principal and teacher’s professional attitude, (3) there is the correlation between teacher’s professional attitude and teacher’s motivation, (4) ) there is the correlation between instructional leadership principal and teacher’s professional attitude with teacher’s motivation. Based on the results of the study it was suggested to, teachers, principals, school supervisors, and related education offices as material input and self-reflection on school leadership learning leadership, teacher’s professional attitudes with teacher’s motivation and expected to improve the quality of education in the future.
