Abstract

Due to an increase in number of paralyzed patients, encephalon-controlled environment is important in order to facilitate automated assistance and mobility to accomplish complex tasks in realistic environments. It includes the development of navigation strategies and personalized interactive assistance to enable the patients to move and live effectively and easily. In this paper, a research on how to control certain devices like lights, fans, computer mouse-pointer, and a wheelchair, using our own thought process, is shown. It is achieved by the means of an electroencephalogram, which is an electrophysiological monitoring device that records the electrical activities of the brain.
