Abstract

This paper presents the investigation on a system model for the stabilization of a MagneticLevitation System (Maglev's). Furthermore, theinvestigation on Proportional Integrated DerivativeController (PID) also reported here. In this paper showsto design both PID and Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) basedon the system model. Maglev's give the contribution inindustry and this system has reduce the powerconsumption, has increase the power efficiency andreduce the cost maintenance. The common applicationsfor Maglev's are Maglev's Power Generation, Maglev'strains and Maglev's ball bearingless system. In thisstudy, it has also been observed that the basic design ofMaglev's is an arrangement of electromagnets placed ontop of the plant and makes the ball levitated in the air.The focus of this study is that to design the controllerthat can cope with Maglev's which highly nonlinear andinherently unstable. The modeling system is simulatedusing MATLAB simulink. This paper presents thecomparison output for both PID Controller and Fuzzycontroller to control the ball levitate on the air. The ISEperformance index is shown to compare the performanceboth controller.
