Abstract:
Having high blood pressure is a serious medical condition, making it difficult for the heart to pump blood, which boosts the risk of diseases including heart attacks, early mortality, renal, and brain-related problems. This research makes an effort to analyse gender differences in hypertension prevalence across India as well as the prevalence of the disease in different regions. Overall, about one-fourth of Indian men and about one-fifth of Indian women have hypertension, according to the National Family and Health Survey data. Men are more likely than women to experience high blood pressure-related issues. In addition, rural people have more hypertension related complications than their urban counterparts.
