Wireless sensor network (WSN) is the special type of wireless network which deals with the dynamic interaction between the node and data packet transmission over the node participating in a network. While dealing with such network node communication scenario, data reveal and packet damage is one of the problem occurred in open network. Selfish node participation may leak or manipulate the information process over the network. Dealing with such network node is one of the major requirement for a smooth data transmission. In this paper, the work is performed on selfish node detection and prevention approaches presented by existing research solution. The paper discussed about the introduction of wireless and impact of intruder occurrence in between the network component. The paper also study regarding the discussed comparative analysis over the existing approach. Data transmission and energy optimization over the network is one of the primary requirement which interrupts by selfish entity. The work shows the approach for selfish node detection and further possible solution over the limitations in previous solution.
