Abstract:	ABSTRACT Objective: To determine the incidence, position and distance of the accessory mental foramen from the mental foramen. Method: The study was conducted using 77 dried unsexed mandibles. Accessory mental foramen was present in 7 specimens and was unilaterally located. Conclusion: The knowledge about presence and position of accessory mental foramen is helpful in achieving full anesthesia after a nerve block.
