Abstract:
The assertion that the United Nations (UN) is a "puppet of the US" stems from the US's significant financial contributions and the veto power of its permanent member status in the UN Security Council, which allows it to block resolutions. Critics point to instances where the UN's actions align with US interests, though proponents argue the UN's value lies in its ability to coordinate global efforts.The US is the largest financial contributor to the UN, which can influence its decision-making and overall functioning. The UN Security Council, which includes the US as a permanent member, holds veto power, allowing it to block actions and potentially align with US foreign policy. We witness not only US dominance over the UN but also in the world affairs of day to day life The UN as a puppet is dancing to the tune of the US hegemony.
