Abstract

Abstract This research aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and work engagement within the retail sector. The study is based on a randomly selected sample of 100 employees from the manufacturing sector. The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) was utilized to assess work engagement, while self-efficacy was measured using the Psychological Capital Questionnaire. Data collection was carried out through a structured questionnaire. To analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and work engagement, various statistical techniques such as descriptive analysis, ANOVA, correlation, regression analysis, and AMOS 22 were employed. The proposed model includes self-efficacy as the independent variable and work engagement as the dependent variable. The findings indicate a significant and positive association between self-efficacy and two dimensions of work engagement, namely absorption and dedication. The study highlights that dedication has a stronger correlation with self-efficacy. The proposed model outlines the connection between self-efficacy, absorption, and dedication.
