Peer Pressure and Its Role in Antisocial Behavior Among Adolescents: An Integrated Review
Antisocial Behaviour, Adolescents, Peer Pressure
Peer influence is a fascinating topic in terms of antisocial behavior in criminology. One of the major issues facing society is the antisocial behavior of adolescents. The rising incidence of antisocial behavior is a national issue. The purpose of this study is to determine whether peer pressure isa contributing factor to antisocial behavior in teenagers. This review discusses various viewpoints before evaluating our intellectual progress in comprehending peer influence across several decades of study in this area. The vast majority of studies that claim to examine peer impact would be better described as examining the influence of close friends. However, a person's peer group probably encompasses far more than the small circle of close friends that is usually examined. Despite significant progress, it concludes that there are still serious questions and gaps.
