Abstract

The aim of this research work was to formulation and development of Itraconazole Dispersible Tablets by using Super-disintegrants. Itraconazole is a triazole antifungal agent used for fungal infections. It has a broader diapason of fungal exertion. Itraconazole dispersible tablet was prepared by direct contraction system using Microcrystalline Cellulose as a direct compressible vehicle. Croscarmellose Sodium, Crosspovidone and Sodium Starch Glycolate were used as a superdisintegrants in different proportion in the formulation. The wetting time and dissolution test was dropped with addition of superdisintegrants. The tablets prepared were estimated for weight variation, hardness, wetting time, friability and dissolution, related substance tests.
