Abstract

Cryptocurrency wallets, whether hardware-based (physical devices) or software-based (applications), are important tools for keeping digital money safe in the blockchain world. As more people start using cryptocurrencies, wallet security becomes even more crucial. This paper looks at the security features, strengths, and weaknesses of both hardware and software wallets. It focuses on important topics like how private keys are managed, encryption methods, user login systems, and protection from common attacks such as phishing, malware, and theft. The study also explains the balance between ease of use and security in these wallets. It highlights the need to understand the risks of each wallet type and suggests best practices to keep cryptocurrency safe. This evaluation aims to help users, developers, and researchers improve wallet security and better protect digital assets.
