Physalis minima, Herbal extract, Anti fungal activity - Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus fumigates, Antibacterial activity - Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli.
The antimicrobial activity of ethanolic extract of dried leaves of Physalis minima is formulated and evaluated. Physalis minima, also known as "small gooseberry" or "wild cape gooseberry," is a plant often used in traditional medicine. The leaves and fruits of this plant have been used for various medicinal purposes, including as a remedy for oral infection. Physalis minima has been suggested to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and healing properties that may assist in treating these sores. The main objective of present investigation to antimicrobial activity of physalis minima extracts.The leaf of the plant has various uses especially used as anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antioxidant, smooth muscle relaxant, immunostimulant and antibacterial activity.
