Abstract

The present study was conducted on 240 college students of Ranchi district selected by 2 x 2 x 2 stratified random sampling. The factors of stratification were place of residence (rural and urban) x level of education (B.A. part I and B.A. part III) and gender (male and female) from Ranchi District. The objective was: To assess the Prevalence of emotional intelligence among college students. The emotional intelligence of college students was measured by emotional intelligence scale. Percentage of scores was applied for analysis of data. The results revealed that the prevalence of emotional intelligence varied among various sample groups.
