Abstract

This study examines the relationship between perfectionism, job satisfaction, and mental well-being among teaching professionals with a maximum of five years of experience, within the age group of 20 to 40 years. Using the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale – Brief (FMPS-Brief), Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS), and Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS), data was collected to assess how different dimensions of perfectionism influence job satisfaction and mental well-being. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between striving for excellence (adaptive perfectionism) and mental well-being, while evaluative concerns (maladaptive perfectionism) show no significant relationship with mental well-being. Additionally, no significant relationship was found between perfectionism and job satisfaction, suggesting that external workplace factors may play a greater role in determining teachers' satisfaction levels.
