Melissopalynology, the study of pollen grains in honey, can reveal valuable information about the pollen and nectar sources that bees use to produce honey. This information can be used to determine the geographical and botanical origin of the honey. the aim of the present investigation was to identify the plant taxa consumed by bees during nectar collection and incorporate them into winter honey samples. The honey samples were collected from wild areas in Anuppur District, Madhya Pradesh of Central India, to identify the important source plants in the region. Pollen-analytical examinations were conducted on five honey samples collected from different localities of Anuppur. Analysis of 05 squeezed honey samples revealed a diversity of 20 pollen morphotypes belonging to 15 different plant families were identified. The palynoassemblage of most honey samples mainly consists of pollen from summer blooming plants such as Syzigium, Schleichera, Terminalia, Lannea, Lagerstroemia, and Anacardiaceae, indicating the occurrence of a tropical moist deciduous forest in the region with high monsoonal conditions (core monsoon zone).
