Abstract: Polyherbal Formulation is the use of more than one herb in a medicinal preparation. It contains biomarkers such as oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, mangiferin, gallic acid, quercetin, curcumin, piperine, 6-gingerol, berberine etc which enhances the therapeutic action and reduce the concentrations of single herbs, thereby reducing adverse events. The aim of this study was to examine biomarkers by different analytical techniques. This review focuses on the recent developments in analytical techniques for estimation of biomarkers in polyherbal formulations. This review will examine methods such as High-Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC), Ultraviolet Visible Spectroscopy (UV), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Spectro fluorimetry, Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC).
