Abstract: The GPS-based attendance system using geofencing technique is a software application that enables an Institution to track student's attendance by using GPS coordinates and geofencing technology. Geofencing technology creates virtual boundaries around a predefined area or location, and when a student enters or exits the defined area, their location is captured and recorded in real-time using GPS. The system consists of a GPS device that is assigned to each student, which sends location data to the central server. The central server processes the data and compares it with the predefined geofencing boundaries. If the student is within the defined boundaries, their attendance is recorded as present, and if they are outside the boundaries, their attendance is recorded as absent. The system provides various features, including real-time tracking of student attendance, automated reporting, and notifications. The system can also generate reports that provide insights into student's attendance trends and patterns. The system can be used in various industries, including healthcare, education, logistics, and manufacturing. It can also be customized to suit the specific needs of an institution, such as defining multiple geofencing boundaries, setting up automatic notifications for absenteeism. In conclusion, the GPS-based attendance system using geofencing technology is a powerful tool for organizations to track student's attendance accurately and efficiently. It provides real-time tracking, automated reporting, and insights into student's attendance trends, making it an indispensable tool for any organization.
