| Abstract: | The transparency and accountability per se in the implementation of various poverty alleviation programs under the Chayangtajo Community Development Block are not at all used as a means for smooth and successful implementation of the programs on account of lack of awareness amongst the beneficiaries in particular and the government functionaries who intentionally taking the advantage of people’s ignorance. The study discussed the absence of a proper mechanism to aware the community of their rights and entitlements enshrined in the program guideline, especially under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (Act), Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana {PMAY (G)}, National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), etc. |
