| Abstract: | Hypertension is one of the most common medical condition major causes of weakness and early death affecting babies, and grown-ups. Medicinal Plants are used to treat cases with cardiovascular conditions, which may do due to affections of the heart and blood vessels and comprise heart attacks, cerebrovascular conditions, hypertension, atherosclerosis and heart failure. Medicinal plants are being used long agone by our ancestors for the treatment of hypertension. with minimal effects. At the present period, consumption of these herbal drugs is adding at a high rate, due to its lower or no side effect and cost- effectiveness as compared to synthetic drugs. This review describes roughly 30 medicinal plants which are used by pastoral and ethnical people of different area of India for curing hypertension.
