Paper Title: Development and Evaluation of Glass Fiber and its application in Concrete Tiles

Abstract: We study the action on split-tensile strength, flexural for strength and compressive for strength for glass fiber with distinct content of fiber on the concrete of grade M20 which is designed according to the IS 10262. The max aggregate size that was employed was 20mm. To find out the action on the flexural of strength, compressive strength and of split tensile strength, a specimen of 6 cubes with 6 cylinders and 6 prisms was formed and tested. Following this, we apply the GFRC in cement concrete form and this was taken into account because we use no new technique in the production of the tiles. The tile thickness taken was 20mm and max aggregate size that was used was of 8mm. We keep the of water and of cement ratio equal and the amount of admixture of was assorted between 0.8 to 1.5% so that the slump could be maintained varying between 50mm and 100mm. The proportion of the mixture used was about 1:1.78:2.66 and the short fiber size used of were about 30mm and these glass fibers were of resistant to alkalis. The action of these short fibers in the transverse strength of wet, water absorption and compressive strength was considered. We take a set of 6 tiles that measured 400mm x 400mm x 20mm for testing and we also record the results. We also conduct the pulse velocity test.
