| Abstract: | Abstract: Background: Magnolia bark is a traditional Chinese medicine that was originated thousands of years back. It received scientific attention as an anti-inflammatory effect used in Gingivitis and dental caries. Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of Magnolia bark extract on Gingivitis and dental caries. Methods: A literature review was performed using Pub Med, science direct, Medline, Cochrane, Scopus using keywords Magnolia bark, Gingivitis, dental caries and dental plaque. A total of 184 articles were from various sources; 6 articles were related to research topics. According to PRISMA guidelines, the review is reported. Results and Conclusion: Magnolia bark effectively against the bacteria that cause dental caries and Gingivitis in the available literature. |
