Abstract

Berberis aristata (Berberidaceae) is an important medicinal plant which is mainly found in different region of the world. Berberis aristata has significant medicinal value in the traditional Indian and European system of medicine. The aim of the present investigation was undertaken to find out phytochemical analysis (qualitative and quantitative), Microscopic identification, HPLC, HPTLC, IR and antimicrobial activity of aqueous and alcoholic extract of Berberis aristata.
