Abstract

Welding industry constantly demands for enhanced quality and process efficiency of welds. due to increased sophistication in chemical composition of materials, proper understanding of joining process for these materials has increased importance if welding industry wants to achieve better results. In this research paper, SS304 and mild steel (MS) were used due to wide range utilization of these materials in the industry and good mechanical strength. the research paper considers the analysis of parameters such as temperature, pressure, time for weld, heat affected zone in rotary friction welding technology. It also considers the strength of the weld as well (breaking, ultimate, yield strengths). the research analyzes the relation of specimen diameter and temperature with weld strength while keeping the rotational speed constant.
