Nowadays we can see there is a lot of climate change happening which is not only affecting the individuals but also the Environment, People are getting conscious regarding the Environment and the Society, and India being part of the 17 SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) with an Agenda to achieve it by 2030, various companies are taking up CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives to deal with the emerging Environment Challenges. The primary goal of this Research is to understand Social Responsible Investments which is relatively a new and an emerging topic which is gaining wide momentum around the world. Responsible Investments means avoiding Industries which is Creating a negative impact on the Environment and the Society and as well as Investing in funds that are following the ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) criteria in their investment decisions. The data collected was collected from various Websites, Journal’s Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports. A structured questionnaire was prepared and the data collected was examined and was analyzed using T-test and Anova test. The hypothesis was tested based on the questionnaire and the findings revealed that investors want to invest their funds in Social Responsible funds in the future and also that the respondents in the age group of 18-24 have adequate knowledge on Responsible investments. The Research also tries to understand the performance of Tata Chemicals Ltd., as per the Responsible Business Ranking 2019 Tata chemical’s Ltd has been on the first position with respect to CSR practices and Sustainability for the last 3 years, a research done by Futurescape. Sustainability Reports and Annual Reports were used to understand the CSR Activities of Tata Chemicals ltd and it shows that Tata chemicals has been doing a Significant amount of investments in Sectors Such as Health, Environment, Education and also the CSR Contribution over the years has been increasing, They also follow Sustainability Reports like GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) and IR (Integrated Reporting) which reports on the Non-Financial aspects of the company.
