Abstract:
Routine Analysis and specifications of reinforced concrete (RC) buildings are much higher than those needed for specific conditions of service load. The members are generally given greater dimensions and better material strength he building. There are even larger similarities of the current seismic design procedures. Furthermore, the structure's redundancy due to stress redistribution will also increase overall strength. This research measures the proportion of longitudinal steel, cement detailing and structural bases detected by 3 RC-framed buildings in various Indian seismic zones at different stages. It consists of a performance-based analysis of the buildings considered in terms of their surplus strength factor using computer-based push-over analysis and designed according to Indian codal regulations
