Abstract:
Heat transfer enhancement or intensification is the study of improved heat transfer performance. Significant resources have provided for the development of heat exchangers having enhanced energy efficient, adequate energy sources and material cost. As a result, considerable emphasis has been placed on the development of various augmented heat transfer surfaces and devices. Now a day’s rigorous research activities are is characterized by both academic and industrial levels to enhance the Heat transfer by the inserts. Worldwide from the technical literature published on enhancement of heat transfer devices can be seen as exponential increase ,growing patents and many number of manufacturers producing the products ranging from enhanced tubes to entire thermal systems incorporating enhancement technology. In this paper result of study on stripped type inserts to increase the heat transfer coefficient is analyzed by Ansys-CFD and its comparisons are presented.
