This paper deals with Power Factor Correction (PFC) of an adjustable speed drives using dc-dc converter. Here we use Cuk converter as a PFC converter in an induction motor drive. The main objective of this paper is a high power factor induction motor drive in order to minimize harmonic problems. The mathematical model of Induction motor has been done by using MATLAB. The proposed system is also evaluated using MATLAB/Simulink environment in a simple way.
