Abstract: A simple, cost effective, reproducible, economical, precise and accurate UV spectroscopic method of Bisoprolol fumarate and Telmisartan in bulk and Besicor-T5 tablet dosage form by using simultaneous equation method. Bisoprolol fumarate and Telmisartan was estimated at their respective wavelengths 223nm and 296nm and at the iso- absorptive wavelength 227nm in methanol as mobile phase. Both Bisoprolol fumarate and Telmisartan follow Beer’s lamberts law over concentration range 1-5µg/ml and 8-40µg/ml, regression of coefficient was found to be r2=0.999 and r2=0.998respectively. The average percentage recovery was found in the range of 99.33 % to 100.74% at three different levels. The method was developed and validated according to ICH Q2 (R2) guidelines. This method can be used for the routine analysis of both the drugs.
