Abstract: It is used to provide power distribution and electrical isolation. The high voltage transformer falls under the division of electrical transformer and boasts of the highest voltage and current ratings along with maximum power, voltage and current ratings. Electrical energy is transmitted by Electrical transformer and is used to transfer electricity to homes and business from power plants. These days most industries have transformers and like all the electrical devices they have their own built-in construction. Oil is used in transformer which plays an important role in transferring heat away from the coils and core to cooler environment and also insulates the coil from the core and coil itself. The oil used should not evaporate and give off gases and the most commonly used oil, is the mineral oil. Classification of Transformers is done on a lot of basis out of which custom current, fly back are most important. In the project we are measuring Current, Voltage, Temperature of oil and oil level using ARDUINO board. All the parameters are continuously measured and can be monitored by authorized personals on web, so that if any transformer behaves abnormal precaution can be taken to prevent burning of transformer. At the same time if any parameter goes above desired limit transformer gets disconnected which prevents damage of transformer.
