Abstract: Utilization of industrial waste materials products in concrete is gaining importance all around the world. Concrete is the basic engineering material used in most of the civil engineering structures. Concrete like other engineering materials needs to be designed for properties like strength, durability, workability and cohesion. Hypo sludge is such an industrial waste produced in plenty by paper mills. In this study, the concrete mix is designed as per IS 10262- 2009 and IS 456-2007 for the conventional concrete. Finally the super plasticizer, Conplast which is 13 ml by weight of cement is added to the concrete. The grade of concrete which we adopted is M20 with water cement ratio of 0.47. The percentage of eggshell was varied by 12 %, 24 %, 36 %, and 48 %. The concrete cubes of 150 X 150 X 150 mm cubes were tested. The compressive strength of 7days and 28days strength was determined.
