Abstract:
This research aims to find out the differences between the effect of two methods to the results exercises on drive shot technique in table tennis. The methods are multiball and robot methods. It also aims to understand the interaction between exercise and motoric skills to the exercise results. The skills can be grouped into high and low motoric abilities. This type of research is an experiment with a 2x2 factorial design. The number of samples is as many as 40 students divided into four groups. Each group consisted of 10 students. Data collection technique refers to the variables involved in this study, namely: (1) The data on the dependent variable which were obtained from assessment of data forehand and backhand drives skills. (2) For data attribute, it can be taken through tests of motor skills using Nelson Motor Ability Test. Data were analysed by a two-way analysis of variance method, followed by Tukey's test. The results showed that the multiball method is more effective to be used in teaching drive shot technique in table tennis for students who have high motoric skills. On the other hand, the robot methods more effective use of teaching the students who have low motoric skills.
