In this project I implement basic MATLAB code for image compression and some editing of images of different formate mainly tiff and jpeg . I will show that I have implemented the DCT algorithm and some basic algorithm for compression of images through out my project. Although I obtained the compressed image up to various coefficient, and increasing the quality of images using histogram equalization , I came very close to it
