| Abstract: | Many studies have shown that intersections are among the most dangerous locations of a roadway network with maximum number of conflicts. Intersections are planned point of conflict in any roadway system. Road intersections that have accident potential or have high numbers of accidents called hazardous intersections thus safety evaluation of a road intersection is a determinant problem. Lack of road safety can have a negative impact on the economy of a country. Signalized intersections will allow an effective flow of traffic and increase road protection across various styles of intersections. At marked crossings, however, serious accidents often occur. This research examines health considerations at the marked crossing. Considerations controlling protection at signaled crossings include: spatial factors, level of traffic, technical regulation of signals, environmental factors etc. This research is intended to be useful to improve protection at the indicated crossing in India. |
