| Abstract: | Voltage imbalance, harmonic distortion is the major problem nowadays which happens due to nonlinear load. The load which is considered in the paper is Electric Arc Furnace. Due to this load, power quality issues increases in the system. For minimizing those issues, FACTS devices plays vital role. FACTS devices such as STATCOM, FCTCR, SVC are there for increasing the performance of the system. The arc furnace, SVC is modeled in MATLAB simulink. |
